A law school student at the Yola Campus of the Nigerian Law School, identified as Ayomiposi Ojajuni, has reportedly died after becoming deeply distressed when he was not permitted to sit for his final bar examination.
The incident occurred after he learned on Saturday, December 6, that he had been barred from participating in the professional exam that began that morning. According to people close to him, the development left him extremely upset.
He was rushed to the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola after ingesting a harmful substance but passed away on Sunday.
Sources say the school authorities stopped him from writing the exam because he failed to respond to several queries previously issued to him.
Efforts to get comments from the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, were unsuccessful, although another police source confirmed the incident.
