Four members of Corner Stone Bible Church have been arraigned before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly breaking into their church and stealing musical equipment valued at ₦12 million.
The accused Alli Adedayo (59), Ogwuche Paul (52), Adeniyi Ramon (27), and Stephen Mbakwe (27) were said to have committed the offence around 4:00 a.m. on September 11, 2025, at the church’s premises in Baruwa, Ipaja.
Items reportedly stolen include two musical keyboards, a Behringer 32-channel mixer, a Yamaha MOD X13 keyboard, and a PSR S775 portable keyboard.
According to police reports, the suspects gained entry after breaking the iron protector at the church. Their involvement allegedly came to light after information leaked about their role, leading to their arrest by officers from the Ipaja Division.
Following interrogation, the police charged them with conspiracy, burglary, theft, and property damage under various sections of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
All four defendants pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, requested a hearing date to allow the police to present evidence.
Magistrate T.A. Popoola granted each defendant bail in the sum of ₦1 million, with sureties required to show proof of employment and tax payment. The case was adjourned until October 31, 2025, while the defendants remain in custody at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending fulfillment of their bail conditions.
